Meeting: Roman

Roman always has a smile on his face and is in a good mood you meet him. Is it because he is clueless? Or is it because this young chap plays outside all the time? Maybe it is just his charisma, simple as that.
Apart from the extensive practice of our favorite sport, it is rumored that Roman is a pretty decent guitarrero. And by the way, he is also actively involved in forming a Middle German cycling industry network. Meet our busy boy Roman.

Who are you?
My name is Roman, I am 26 years old and I am a passionate cyclist.

What about your biking experience?
Be it on the way to work, with the so-called SLDRGNG in the Dresden area or with friends in the distance. With my new Sour Clueless I have already completed a double Cross of the Alps and the infamous “Randonnée des Cols Corses” on Corsica.

How did you come to biking?
A friend of mine convinced me 8 years go to get a beautiful old Campagnolo Chorus equipped road bike. I’ve been on fire ever since.

What ground to you prefer to ride?
Dirt and gravel tracks, forest paths and lonesome roads in the mountains and countryside.

Which model did you choose and why?
I chose the model “Clueless“. It is fast on the street and you still can go off-road with it.

What is the sweetest about SOUR?
It is all about the details. I especially like the dropouts, the cable routing, the geometry and that they are made of steel.

Please describe the highlights (setup, components, color,…) of your bike.
I chose the robust yet lightweight Sram Force 1. In addition a solid wheel set from Light-Wolf with DT Swiss hubs and the iconic The Hydra rims from H-Plus Son. The nipples of the wheels are in the same green as my Clueless. Because of its purpose and my love for music I named my Sour “Maurice Gravel”.

What turns you SOUR?
Just get on your bike and go wherever you want, with whom you want, as fast as you can and as far as possible.

What was your latest bike adventure?
My last bike adventure was two weeks on Corsica with my new Sour Clueless. I rode the Randonnée des Cols Corses with a friend: a little more than 1600 kilometers and almost 29000 meters of altitude over asphalt, gravel, stick and stone. An absolute monument!

Name 3 things you request for the local bike-world.
Less marketing blah blah, more sustainability and more individuality.
