Meeting: Paul

Hello, this is Paul.
He is riding all kinds of non motorized two wheel bikes and has something for every application in his closet. Not only the joy of biking, but also his ambition drives him into nature over and over again. So if you see a colorful bon vivant flit through town or the Dresden heath on his eye-catching sour, you can say cheers: Please meet Paul.

Who are you?
Hello my name is Paul.

What about your biking experience?
Actually I ride bikes in all kind of ways and types all along. From cyclo-cross, fixie, BMX, road and mountain bikes – I wrote all.

How did you come to biking?
For a long time I had the idea to buildup a single speed MTB again. And as I heard that SOUR will bring one out my interest was awaken.

What ground to you prefer to ride?
On quiet everything, except ice.

Which model did you choose and why?
I choose the BAD GRANNY.

What is the sweetest about SOUR?
Everybody has the chance to buildup their SOUR at their pleasure and moneybag. Effectively everything is possible and I hope to see as many individual rides to roll around as possible.

Please describe the highlights (setup, components, color,…) of your bike.
I kept my setup quite plain. RACE FACE bar, stem, pedals and seat post, SUNringlé wheels sets that was just on sale, the MASH seat from Selle San Marco, Wolf Tooth rear sprocket by the color Lila (I just wonder how long it will last), SRAM disc brakes.

My SOUR rolls in color Illusion Money which is a pretty sweet green combined with Lila sprockets and seat clamp.

What turns you SOUR?

What was your latest bike adventure?
My last adventure was the Sellaronda Hero Dolomites, a MTB marathon race circling the Sellaronda Mountains in the Dolomite Alps. The course was stunningly beautiful and it was one of the toughest race I took part in ever. To share the starting block with Alban Lakata, Urs Huber and other great MTB riders was a once in a lifetime experience.

Name 3 things you request for the local bike-world.
1. Segregated cycle lanes in inner cities

2. More tolerance on trails – by hiker AND biker
3. More pizza for everybody
