Meeting: Anja

Some of you may have noticed our little fluffy companion – Meet Theo.
Seriously: Anja actually rides her MTB most of the time. Despite her quiet, relaxed appearance she quickly grabs the ambition when it comes to the next steep climb. Not only as one of our product tester, but also through her work as a sign maker, she provides us with all the snappy sour decals and is thus a part of our family. Meet Anja and Theo.

Who are you?
Anja.

What about your biking experience?
I ride bike.

How did you come to biking?
My parents didn’t want to give me a lift – so I took my bicycle and it became my daily means of transportation and through my friends in Dresden, it turned a hobby.

What ground to you prefer to ride?
In the woods, in the fields, across roots, stones and gravel

Which model did you choose and why?
I have the model Purple Haze. It mainly drags me into the open country and I like to pack some stuff onto my bike for spontaneous bigger tours while sleeping outside. So this model gives me the best opportunities. It’s flexible and reliable even when it gets bumpy with a packed bike but delivers a pleasant, swift ride on streets. The 11 kg weight suits me and is easy to move. It’s an all-rounder that I can use for cross cycle races, overnighters or long tours with friends without dying while riding. 😀

What is the sweetest about SOUR?
You can tell there is a team behind it that rides bikes by themselves, has fun and sees unspoken costumer wishes aaaaaaand you can choose out of different colors.

Please describe the highlights (setup, components, color,…) of your bike.
The frame color disco-purple in combination with Oilslick hubs from Dartmoor and matching spoke nipples. The built with 650B impellers turns the bike into a trusty and flexible partner for me – even on rougher grounds. The hydraulic disc brakes are reliable and snarky.

What turns you SOUR?
Perseverance, courage, determination, a certain craziness, a knack for harmonious, functional design coupled with a love of detail.

What was your latest bike adventure?
One week of mountain biking with friends in Finale Ligure. Climbing up loooong roads and then having fun downhill in the rough terrain on a fully. Afterwards sitting in the sun on the beach, drinking beer, making silly stuff, laughing and enjoying delicious Italian food.

Name 3 things you request for the local bike-world.
less STRAVA obsession and self-expression
more serenity and Humor
more MTB
