Velofollies

Last weekend we went to Belgium for the first time. The velofollies, the biggest fair in the Benelux area, was coming up and  Henri and I made our way to Kortrijk.

Due to the good and regular practice how and where our van can be loaded we managed to pack the complete stand and enough bikes of all genres.

The journey to the fair went like the journey to the site: completely relaxed. Doors and gates were kindly opened for us and we were able to get our superstructures quickly to the site to prepare everything.

Fridays ain’t easy

Even if the work at a trade fair seems quite fluffy, it still is exhausting. So the time between work and the necessary bed rest must be properly balanced and used.

The Friday started sporty with opening hours from 10.00 am to 09.00 pm, so we had a long, but in retrospect successful, day at the fair ahead.

The audience was mixed and we were rather a welcome change for the visitors due to our small stand and the complete range of steel products.

We are on fire!

During the next two days, countless visitors streamed through the huge halls to get advice or to test the products.

Over the entire weekend we received many positive comments, held interesting discussions and got rid of a mega number of catalogues.

Apart from communication challenges between Dutch, French, English and German, we treated ourselves to little treats from the food trucks and tasted the famous Belgian beer.

Bikes everywhere

Of course Henri and I did not miss the opportunity to ride in such a historically important cycling area ourselves. On saturday before the start of the fair we went to Roubaix on our bikes and did a lap in the famous Velodrome Roubaix before we had to hurry up to open our stand in time for the day.

On Sunday before the fair we made a quick trip to the Flemish Ardennes to feel a little closer to the cobblestone pavement in the dark.

Keep on riding Sour!

Henri & Christoph
