Description

Big‑wheel trail platform, proportion‑driven design

The Pasta Party 32″ frameset exists for a very specific—and very deliberate—reason: proportion. Designed exclusively for sizes M through XL, it translates the playful trail DNA of the Pasta Party into a calmer, more composed riding experience shaped by larger wheels and longer rider dimensions.

From the first ride, the difference is tangible. The 32″ wheel format increases rollover and stability, smoothing trail chatter and carrying momentum naturally through rough sections, roots and broken surfaces. Where smaller wheels invite constant correction, the Pasta Party 32″ frameset encourages commitment and flow. The bike feels unhurried, stable and comfortably grounded.

Crucially, this is not a scaled‑up version of the standard frame. The geometry, proportions and intended use are designed around the wheel size from the outset. The goal is not speed or spectacle, but balance—allowing taller riders to experience the same intuitive handling and confidence as smaller riders do on smaller wheels.

The familiar Pasta Party character remains clearly present. The frame still invites movement, rewards active riding and supports playful trail interaction. What changes is the rhythm: less nervous, more composed, especially over distance.

Wheel size as a design decision

The 32″ wheels fundamentally alter how the bike interacts with terrain. Increased contact patch behaviour and reduced angle of attack improve stability and traction, particularly noticeable for larger riders carrying more momentum.

The frameset is designed to accommodate this naturally. Steering remains intuitive rather than sluggish, and the bike retains a willingness to change lines and respond to rider input. Playfulness isn’t removed—it’s moderated and extended, especially on longer or rougher trails.

By limiting the size range deliberately, the Pasta Party 32″ avoids compromise. The bike is never forced into proportions it wasn’t meant to support.

Sizes M to XXL benefit most from the stability and composure that larger wheels provide. Reach, stack and wheelbase are aligned with this reality, resulting in a frame that feels cohesive rather than stretched.

This isn’t about offering “more bike.”
It’s about offering the right bike for specific rider sizes.

The frame supports active riding without becoming tiring, making it especially suitable for longer trail sessions where consistency matters more than constant reactivity.

An open foundation, not a variant

As a frameset, the Pasta Party 32″ is intentionally open. Fork choice, component selection and build direction remain up to the rider. The frame doesn’t prescribe speed, aggression or distance—it offers a calm, proportionate base that adapts without losing its character.

Mounting points and clearances are chosen for trail relevance rather than excess. This is still a Pasta Party: riding comes first.

Every Pasta Party 32″ frameset is finished individually. Frame size, colour and selected options are defined during ordering before the frame is assembled and prepared in our workshop. Nothing here feels provisional or experimental—the frame arrives resolved and ready.

What follows is refinement, not correction.

For riders who want flow without losing fun

The Pasta Party 32″ frameset exists for riders who value flow over urgency and proportion over novelty. It doesn’t replace the standard Pasta Party—it complements it where rider size and riding style benefit from a calmer, more composed approach.

It’s not bigger for effect.
It’s bigger because it makes sense.

A big‑wheel trail frameset.
Defined by stability, rollover and composed handling.
Curated for riders size M to XL who want the Pasta Party feel—carried further and delivered with more calm.

All Sour Bicycles frames are made by hand, one-by-one, in our own facility in Saxony, just outside of Dresden. We use custom tubing designed and drawn for our frames, it’s a multi-butted heat-treated CrMo steel that’s ready to stand the test of time. All our steel is produced from a partially recycled product in Germany and drawn by one of the worlds leading production facilities in Taiwan, the beating heart of the worlds bicycle production.

Our dropouts are designed in-house in Dresden and have a replaceable derailleur hanger.

The seat clamp is designed in-house and is integrated into the frame. Should it ever fail, the frame can be professionally modified to use a traditional clamp, if repair of the original clamp is not possible. We have never seen one fail.
