Description

Crumble · Frameset

Versatile all‑terrain foundation, intentionally open

The Crumble frameset is built for riding that doesn’t ask for permission. It sits outside strict categories and ignores the need to define terrain before the ride even starts. Instead, it offers a stable, adaptable foundation for riders who see variety as the point, not the complication.

From the first ride, the Crumble feels calm and grounded. The geometry prioritises balance and composure rather than sharp, nervous responses. It encourages a relaxed but engaged riding position, supporting long hours in the saddle as naturally as short, spontaneous detours. The frame feels steady under load and predictable when surfaces start to vary.

Acceleration is measured and controlled, favouring traction and stability over urgency. The Crumble doesn’t rush the rider—it meets them where they are and lets the ride evolve. Rough pavement, gravel, dirt paths or forgotten back roads all feel equally acceptable. The bike doesn’t ask what surface it’s on.

Nothing about the frameset is stripped back or simplified. Tubing, construction and ride intent are identical to any complete Crumble. What’s left open is how the bike ultimately expresses itself.

Designed for variety, not definition

The Crumble isn’t designed to excel at one thing at the expense of everything else. Instead, it’s designed to remain composed across changing conditions. Steering stays stable, the bike feels predictable when pace changes, and comfort builds rather than fades as distance accumulates.

Compliance is tuned to keep feedback present without becoming fatiguing. The frame filters vibration while preserving connection to the ground, keeping the ride engaging rather than isolating. This balance is key to the Crumble’s character—it feels reassuring without ever feeling dull.

Freedom as a core feature

Choosing the frameset means choosing adaptability. Drivetrain choice, cockpit configuration, wheel and tyre selection remain open, allowing the Crumble to lean toward different uses without losing its identity. Light and simple, durable and loaded, minimal or practical—the frame supports these decisions naturally.

Mounting options and clearances are designed around usefulness rather than excess. The Crumble assumes the bike will be ridden often, not endlessly configured before the first ride.

This makes the frameset especially appealing for riders whose riding evolves over time. The bike adapts without feeling like it’s being reinterpreted.

Finished with intent

Every Crumble frameset is finished individually. Frame size, colour and selected options are defined during ordering before the frame is assembled and prepared in our workshop. It receives the same care and attention as any complete bike in the lineup.

The result is a frame that already feels finished. Building it up is not about filling gaps—it’s about refining a direction.

For riders who don’t ride one kind of ride

The Crumble frameset exists for riders who prefer open outcomes. It doesn’t prescribe speed, surface or purpose. It provides a composed, confident base and lets the ride decide the rest.

It’s not a shortcut.
It’s a foundation.

A versatile all‑terrain frameset.
Defined by balance, composure and adaptability.
Curated for riders who want a bike that makes sense before the route does.

All Sour Bicycles frames are made by hand, one-by-one, in our own facility in Saxony, just outside of Dresden. We use custom tubing designed and drawn for our frames, it’s a multi-butted heat-treated CrMo steel that’s ready to stand the test of time. All our steel is produced from a partially recycled product in Germany and drawn by one of the worlds leading production facilities in Taiwan, the beating heart of the worlds bicycle production.

Our dropouts are designed in-house in Dresden and have a replaceable derailleur hanger.

The seat clamp is designed in-house and is integrated into the frame. Should it ever fail, the frame can be professionally modified to use a traditional clamp, if repair of the original clamp is not possible. We have never seen one fail.
