Description
Wildcard is coming to Germany, and we couldn’t be more excited!
Join us for a weekend full of adventure and fun across Saxony and the Czech Republic.
Wildcard is a cycling rally with a fixed start and finish — but no fixed route. Beginning at 9 a.m., you’ll have 10 hours to cover as much distance as possible between those two points, earning one point for every kilometre ridden.
Prefer a more direct route? Boost your score by completing missions along the way.
At 7 p.m., the clock stops and the finisher’s party kicks off. And of course — we’re camping overnight!

SOUR WILDCARD – RULES & HOW IT WORKS
The Wildcard is our adventure-first gravel & bikepacking rally where the route is yours to create.
We give you a start, a finish, and 10 hours to turn freedom into fun, chaos, and points.
Basic Format
- Start: 9:00 AM
- Finish: 7:00 PM (after 10 hours the clock stops)
- Start Point: Sour Bicycles HQ
- End Point: Official Wildcard camp spot
- Route: Choose your own! No fixed track.
Scoring
You earn points throughout the day based on what you ride and what you climb:
- 1 point per kilometer ridden
- 1 point per 10 meters climbed
At 7 PM, scoring ends and the finishers’ party at the campfire begins.
And yes — extra points if you sleep in your bivvy next to the fire.
Glory favors the brave (and the slightly smoky).
Missions
Throughout the day you can boost your score by completing missions:
- Missions will be announced before the start
- Each mission requires photographic evidence
- Proof is shown at the finish
- Creativity encouraged, cheating discouraged, fun mandatory
Tracking
To be counted, you must record your ride using:
- a head unit (Garmin, Wahoo, etc.)
- or your phone (Komoot, Strava, RideWithGPS, etc.)
No recording = no points. Easy.
Solo or with friends
You can ride alone or in a group.
But:
Scoring is always individual.
Work together, or betray each other — the Wildcard doesn’t judge.
Winners
- Rally Winner — most total points
- Distance Winner — most kilometers ridden
- Missions Winner — most missions completed
Different riders, different strategies, different kinds of chaos.
TLDR:
– 27/28 June Gravel weekend
.- No fixed route (shortest option around 100km and 1500hm)
– overnight stay possible in bunk beds and/or outdoors with tent/bivi (bring your own)
